Toned Arms Workout Instructions
1. One arm tricep push up: 30 seconds + 30 seconds. Lie on your right side with your feet, hips and shoulders stacked. Place your left palm on the mat in front of your right shoulder, and hug your waist with your right arm. Straighten your left arm and push your torso up. Bend your arm and lower your torso back to the mat. Repeat for 30 seconds, and then switch sides.
2. Bicep curls: 30 seconds + 30 seconds. Stand straight with a dumbbell in each hand, feet shoulder-width apart, and arms relaxed by your sides. Squeeze your right biceps and lift the dumbbell, keeping your elbow close to your body and your upper arm stationary; only your forearm should move. Once the dumbbell reaches shoulder level, slowly lower it back to the starting position. Repeat for 30 seconds, then switch to the other arm.
3. Lying triceps extension: 60 seconds. Lie on your back with your knees bent and a dumbbell in each hand. Extend your arms and position the dumbbells directly above your shoulders. Bend your elbows and bring the dumbbells down until they’re close to your ears. Lift the dumbbells back up and repeat for 60 seconds.
4. Hammer curls: 30 seconds + 30 seconds. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, holding a dumbbell in one hand with your palm facing your thigh. Bend your elbow and lift the dumbbell until it reaches shoulder level. Pause briefly, then slowly lower it back to the starting position. Repeat for 30 seconds, then switch to the other arm.
5. Dumbbell front raise: 30 seconds + 30 seconds. Stand holding a dumbbell in each hand with your palms facing down. Lift one dumbbell until your arm is slightly above parallel to the floor. Pause briefly, then slowly lower it back to the starting position. Repeat for 30 seconds, then switch arms.

6. Dumbbell lateral raise: 30 seconds + 30 seconds. Hold a dumbbell in each hand with your palms facing down. Lift one dumbbell and raise your arm out to the side. When your elbow reaches shoulder height, pause briefly, then slowly lower it back to the starting position. Repeat for 30 seconds, then switch arms.
7. Bent over row: 30 seconds + 30 seconds. Grab a dumbbell with your right hand, place your left foot forward and your right foot back, bend your left knee and lean your torso forward. Pull the dumbbell toward your waistline, while squeezing your shoulder blades. Slowly lower it back to the starting position, repeat for 30 seconds, and then switch sides.
8. Tricep dips: 60 seconds. Place your hands behind you onto a chair, so that your fingers face forward. Extend your legs and start bending your elbows. Lower your body until your arms are at a 90-degree angle. Lift your body back up until your arms are straight. Repeat for 60 seconds.
9. Standing cross chest curls: 30 seconds + 30 seconds. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell in each hand. Squeeze the left biceps and bring the dumbbell across your body and toward your right shoulder. Lower the arm to the starting position, repeat for 30 seconds, and then switch arms.
10. Up and down plank: 60 seconds. Start in a plank position, with your wrists under your shoulders and your feet hip-width apart. Bend your left arm, place your left elbow on the mat and then bend your right arm and place your right elbow on the mat. Place your left hand on the mat, straighten your left arm and then place your right hand on the mat and straighten your right arm. Switch sides and repeat this up and down movement until the set is complete.
