26-Minute Core Balance Workout
Description: Repeat this circuit twice, resting for 15 seconds between exercises and 60 seconds between sets.

Core Balance Workout Instructions
1. Balance chop: 30 seconds + 30 seconds. Stand with your feet wide and hold a dumbbell with both hands. Rotate your torso to the left and raise the dumbbell above your head. Lift your right knee as you rotate your torso to the right, and bring the dumbbell diagonally across the body until it’s close to your right hip. Repeat for 30 seconds and then switch sides.
2. Russian twist: 45 seconds. Sit with your legs bent and position your upper body so that it creates a V shape with your thighs. Twist your torso to the right, and then reverse the motion, twisting it to the left. Repeat this movement until the set is complete.
3. Pilates swimming: 45 seconds. Lie on your belly with your arms and legs fully extended. Raise both arms and legs off the mat and lift your head and chest. Flutter your arms and legs and keep alternating sides for 45 seconds.
4. Dumbbell side bend: 30 seconds + 30 seconds. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Hold a dumbbell in your right hand with your palm facing your hip and place your left hand behind your head. Bend to your right side, as far as it feels comfortable, and pause. Repeat for 30 seconds, and then switch sides.
5. Windshield wipers: 60 seconds. Lie on your back with your arms straight out to the sides. Lift your legs and bend the knees at a 90-degree angle. Rotate the hips to one side, without letting the legs touch the floor. Lift your legs and return to the starting position. Rotate the hips to the opposite side and repeat until set is complete.

6. V sit bicycles: 45 seconds. Lie with your legs slightly bent. Raise your upper body so that it creates a V shape with your thighs. Twist your torso to the right, bring your right knee close to your left elbow and fully extend the left leg. Return to the starting position and then crunch to the opposite side. Keep alternating sides for 45 seconds.
7. Pulse ups: 45 seconds. While on your back, lift your legs and place your hands under your tailbone. Lift your hips and hold. Lower your hips and return to the starting position. Repeat until set is complete.
8. Standing side bend: 60 seconds. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, hold a dumbbell with both hands, and raise your arms up and above your head. Bend your torso to the right, as far as it feels comfortable, and pause. Return to the initial position and bend to the left side. Keep alternating sides for 60 seconds.
9. Waist slimmer squat: 30 seconds + 30 seconds. While holding a dumbbell with both hands, rotate your torso to the right, straighten your arms and raise the dumbbell until it’s parallel to the floor. Squat, as you rotate your torso to the left, and bring the dumbbell diagonally across the body until it’s close to your left hip. Repeat for 30 seconds and then switch sides.
10. Side plank hip lifts: 30 seconds + 30 seconds. Start in a side plank position, with your shoulder over your elbow and your body in a straight line. Bring your hip down, without letting it touch the floor, and then bring it back up to the side plank position. Repeat for 30 seconds and switch sides.
